Benefits of Infused Yoga

Movement is Medicine

Smoke and Stretch is a monthly infused yoga class in Los Angeles created with the intention of making wellness fun. Our aim is to make wellness accessible to all as we empower people to meet themselves where they are at and take steps towards healing. By pairing movement with medicine, Smoke and Stretch allows people to connect deeply with themselves and enter what is called a flow state. During this flow state all distractions from the outside world are eliminated and the person can focus solely on releasing stress throughout the process of yoga.

“I became a yoga teacher so that I could help people heal trauma and connect with themselves”

-Nina, co-founder of And That’s OK

Yoga in itself is a healing practice that offers both physical and mental health benefits for people of all ages. Whether people are experiencing mental health issues, recovering from surgery, or living with a chronic condition, yoga can be used as a tool for healing. Yoga is also a powerful tool used in eliminating the day to day stresses of everyday life. We store stress and trauma within our bodies and yoga is an excellent way to release it.

Cannabis (ganja) is an optional component of Smoke and Stretch that is recommended due to the heightened connection to oneself and nature. Cannabis activates your endocannabinoid system, the molecular system that works with various other systems - circulatory, regulatory, nervous, etc - to keep the body in homeostasis. Yoga is known to activate the same system, for example the feeling we get when we are in a flow state, is the feeling of the endo cannabinoid system on a physical level.

Despite all that it is also just a really good vibe!!

The combination of moving meditation (yoga) and plant medicine (cannabis) is an experience that you do not want to miss. If this is something you are interested in learning more about sign up for our email list and check the events tab to see when the next one is happening.
